Saving your searches as Bookmarks

Save a search, including its folder, filters and view settings, and reuse it with one click.

If you run the same search every week, save it as a Bookmark.

What a Bookmark stores

  • The search term
  • The selected folder
  • The Filter settings
  • The metadata fields shown in the panels and on the thumbnails
  • The chosen view mode and zoom level

Creating a Bookmark

  1. Perform your search and set the Filter the way you want it.
  2. Click the Bookmark icon in the top left corner.
  3. Choose Save as new Bookmark.
  4. Enter a name and press Enter.

Using and updating a Bookmark

Open the Bookmark menu and click a Bookmark to repeat that search. To change one, open it, adjust the search, and save the changes to the Bookmark again. You can also close an active Bookmark to return to the search you had before.

A word of caution about shared Bookmarks

Bookmarks can be shared with others. If you change a Bookmark that other people use, they will see different results than they expect, so make large changes to shared Bookmarks with care.

Good to know

Bookmarks need Assets 6.79 or higher. On older versions, the administrator could set up similar searches as Search Presets.
